News and Announcements
We are in the early stages of planning a potential return to the pool. The exact date has not been confirmed and is subject to change, however we want to be ready when it is possible. There is a strict covid policy that we are working through with the Leisure Centre with limits on the number of swimmers we can have in the pool at one time, as well as how we enter and exit the building and when we have more information we will share it with you. In anticipation of a return we hope to open up registration in the coming weeks, so watch for a follow up email with further details. We hope everyone has been staying healthy and we look forward to seeing you again.
These are the guidelines for reopening pools put out by the B.C. and Yukon lifesaving society.

Mission Marlin Families,
We hope everyone is staying busy and healthy as our club, families and community continue to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing and isolation have become an inconvenient necessity and we hope everyone is managing well.
As the summer fast approaches everyone has a lot of questions about the upcoming season and unfortunately at this time, there are not many answers……
The Mission Marlins belong to the BC Summer Swimming Association. As such they are our governing body. We ask that you please refer to the BCSSA website for any questions you may have regarding the 2020 summer season. Updates are available.
At this time the Mission Leisure Centre remains closed indefinitely and the likelihood of a gradual reopening is a real possibility. It is fair to say that this will impact the Mission Marlins in some capacity.
The BCSSA and the Mission Marlins will strictly adhere to the Government health authorities on when it is safe and appropriate to proceed with the 2020 season. Please know that as soon as we have an announcement of any kind we will make our families aware immediately. Until then stay healthy and safe.

It is with heavy hearts that we have made the decision to cancel the remainder of our winter maintenance set.
We are following the lead of BCSSA and working closely with our pool. We will keep all of our families updated with any information regarding our upcoming summer season. At this time, we wont’t be cashing any cheques that we collected for our upcoming summer season (volunteer points, chocolate sales, and swim apparel).
We thank all of our swim families for their understanding and look forward to the opportunity to get our swimmers back in the pool.
